As a music teacher in Newfoundland, Canada, Andrew has been working with young musicians in his home town and on the Internet since 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of music (violin) and a Masters of Education (music).
Andrew’s work in music education has been featured in media sources such as Popular Science, Electronic Musician, Wired.com, CBC’s The National, The Wall Street Journal, Canadian Music Educator, CNN, and Nippon TV. Andrew has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences and symposia including the 2008 ISME Conference (Italy), MTNA National Conference (Minnesota), NAMM (Anaheim) and MENC (Washington, D.C.).
Andrew continues to work on the forefront of music education both nationally and internationally. He was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Coalition for Music Education – www.MusicMakesUs.ca and is a past Board member for the Canadian Music Educators Association.
